SMK BLUD bukan hanya perubahan administratif, melainkan sebuah deklarasi filosofis dan metodologis bahwa pendidikan kejuruan harus bersifat mandiri, adaptif, dan berorientasi pada hasil. Dengan BLUD, SMK di daerah memiliki instrumen legal dan finansial untuk meninggalkan mentalitas “menunggu” bantuan pemerintah. Mereka bertransformasi menjadi pencipta sumber daya, bukan sekadar penerima. Untuk SMK di Jambi dan di seluruh Indonesia, mengadopsi BLUD adalah langkah strategis untuk menjamin relevansi, meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekosistem sekolah, dan yang terpenting, secara efektif memutus rantai kematian SMK yang telah lama mencekik potensi mereka. Implementasi totalitas BLUD adalah tiket menuju SMK unggul yang berdaya saing global (Garcia, 2025, hlm. 150).
